Taking its name from a line in Philip Larkin's poem 'MCMXIV', An August financial institution vacation Lark explores the effect of the 1st global warfare on a rural neighborhood in East Lancashire.
Set within the idyllic summer season of 1914 rural Lancashire, all people in the neighborhood is worked up approximately Wakes week; a relaxation from box and mill and a party of the Rushbearing competition with making a song, dating, consuming and dancing.
